Greetings Northeast Suffolk Sheep Enthusiasts:

The Suffolk sale season is underway, and it looks to be another successful year.  Congratulations to MacCauley Suffolks on their Champion Ewe at the Ohio Suffolk Sale in May.  I don’t have the winners from Reno, but I hear it was another good one.  We will have a solid offering of Suffolks consigned to the New England Sale, July 16-17 in West Springfield, MA.  You can download a catalog soon at www.nesheep.org.

The Northeast Suffolk Sheep Association is conducting a major fundraiser to fund our many activities; raffling a brand new, heavy duty Ketcham’s Trimming Stand.  The winner will be drawn on July 17 at the New England Sale/Northeast Youth Sheep Show in West Springfield, MA, and you do not need to be present to win!  Tickets are $1 each or 7 tickets for $5 and are available from most members, or by mail from me:  Doug Gillespie, 751 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA 02493 or email: Doug.Gillespie@yahoo.com. Please help support the association.

The USSA will have a busy Summer in our district with all three director seats up for election. At our annual meeting, members of the NESSA voted to support Dr. Gerry Clair’s bid for a new term, and also support Billy MacCauley if he decides to run.  When you receive your ballot in August, make sure you VOTE.

I hope your flock is thriving!
